Josephine Yeatman Dermatology treatments comprise of the diagnosis and management of skin conditions, education on skin conditions, prescription medication, minor surgery including biopsies, curettage and excisions, ultra violet light therapy (whole body and hand and foot machines on premises), and botulinum toxin for excessive armpit (axillary) sweating. Conditions commonly treated include acne, psoriasis, and skin cancer, along with diagnosis and management of rarer skin diseases.

Excessive Sweating Treatment

Also called Hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating is sweating that is caused by no apparent reason (for example heavy exercise or ambient temperature). It can be both focal or generalised and sparked by overactive nerves which trigger the sweat glands. Josephine Yeatman Dermatology offers neuromodulator injections to assist with treating axillary hyperhidrosis which fails to respond to topical treatments.

Acne & Acne Scarring Treatment

Acne is a skin condition which many people deal with at some point in their lives. In addition to being a painful cosmetic concern, if left untreated or treated incorrectly, acne can result in scarring. Dr Yeatman will compassionately work with patients to formulate a treatment plan to reduce the effects and promote healthy, happy skin.

Phototherapy (Light Therapy)

Josephine Yeatman Dermatology offer Phototherapy (also known as Light Therapy), a specialised treatment used to combat common skin conditions such as eczema (dermatitis), psoriasis and skin lymphoma. Each treatment takes only minutes and involves exposure to narrowband UVB light.

Contact Allergy Testing

At times it can be difficult to identify the underlying cause of allergic contact dermatitis. In these unique cases Josephine Yeatman Dermatology will conduct contact allergy testing whereby small amounts of common substances are put on several patches on a patient’s back. Upon removing the patches, Dr Yeatman will inspect for any reactions and provide individualised advice on avoiding the substance to reduce the effects.
